Allentown’s Solar Facility

City of Allentown – 200 kW Rooftop Solar Array

Allentown’s Bridgeworks Facility Solar Photovoltaic Plant was a critical step in the city’s New Green Mission Initiative. The 420 panels were installed during the winter of 2010 and were fully operational in April 2011. To date, they have generated more than 59,000 kilowatt hours of energy, enough to power five homes for an entire year. The Plant will generate more than 72,000 kWh of solar power in a 12 month period which will result in an average savings to the City and its taxpayers of over $10,000 in electric costs annually.
